The sun is burning at 5 778 K, kanasai, so hot that your pee vaporize before they reach toilet bowl.

For this month's electric bill sake, I try not to use the air con too much. Hot macam babi panggang, I walk around the house like a mad guy. Then, suddenly, I can feel the aura.... Cooling aura from sis's room.. It's the air con aura! damn, I already told her not to on the air con too much.
So I asked her to open the door, she ask me why. I said, I need to get my hair gel inside (she got one big mirror inside and I always use the mirror for make up purposes), but this time of course I lied :)
She open the door, I rush in and throw myself on top of her bed.... ahhhhh, air con.... damn nice :)
My sis fingernails grow like cybertooth in X-men series, she tried to scractch me, but I dodge like James Bond dodging bullets (yah, now only u know its impossible to dodge a bullet). Then I told her, let me sleep for a while, let me chill a bit.
I dont understand girls, especially my sis, she wont let me sleep on her bed for some Idk what reason. She tried to wrestle me, I give her a smack down and lying shadow kick, after struggling to push me out of the bed, she give up (yah try pushing a 80kg block).
I thought she just gonna walk out that door and let me chill in the air con-ned room. But she did something that leave me so speechless and LOL damn hard.
She off the air con (but the cool air is still there of course), she on her hair dryer and blow the hot air to me ............

Chocolatomate! (chotomate) ... not so fast. more update la of course.

Last week I meet up with my online friend, his name is Stan, I call him Stano, cause he call me Limo... Take that! Ok, so what happen is, this Stano is from JB and he study in Germany, he graduated and come back Malaysia for holiday. We kinda ngam each other because both of us wear specs... haha... not funny. Ok, serious. It is because both of us are fan of Hajime no Ippo.

So, after reschedulling his timetable (he is busier than Pak Lah), we finally get to meet each other. We book a hotel, and sleep on the same bed, and then ngek ngek ngek ngek.... (I know this is what you guys want to hear and laugh about it, go ahead). Well of course the last sentence is just total nonsense, but yeah what happen is we went for a nice lunch with some "ahem" glancing "ahem" at the leng lui there. (Stano, I hope your gf is not lurking here).

After that we went to Biji Benih Kopi, Stano brought along his camera and damn I forgot to take his pic. But he took my pic, of me cleaning my coffee (kan ciong talking about Hajime No Ippo, too many animation going on)

After that, we found out that its too early, so I suggest we go eat cendol...

MASTER BURGER

Today I'm going to introduce you guys one of the besto, biggest, expensive, and botakest burger.
You got to drive to
and then, check out the small burger stall there. Look for a botak guy (sometimes not him), if he is the one who's cooking, then you are damn lucky because he is the shi fu for the stall. Most of the time, his konco konco who cook for him, because he is the MASTER.
I got really lucky because that day the MASTER himself was there. Heck, he even know how to speak tamil fluently (really no kidding).

"Encik Botak"

Normally, when you go to burger stall, you order "burger ayam single/double/special with/out cheese" but when you come here, you must order "MASTER BURGER". yeah, you not Slave, but MASTER BURGER (say it with "umph")

"Knn, damn expensive. RM6.70 wei, u can eat three plates of cheap chap fan with that price"

I ordered MASTER BURGER, of course. Its damn big, almost can't finish it (im just kidding, u think i really cant finish it??)

Clarke Quay

Few months back, I stay at Singapore, working as so-called "Management Trainee". I work 6 days a week, and got a random day off a week. One random off day, I went to MRT station no where to go and suddenly saw this very interesting MRT station name "CLARKE QUAY". So I get off the station and found myself a heaven.

Once you reach Clarke Quay station, basically you are inside "The Central" shopping mall, full of Japanese shops. What makes me happy is that they have variety of Japanese restaurant "droll". And when you go out The Central, you found yourself by the Singapore River, and yes Singapore River is that small.

Me, myself do not like crowded place, I mean crowded its ok, but not too crowded. Clarke Quay is not crowded (almost desserted) during light time but kinda crowded during night time. What I want to say is, Clarke Quay is just the place I like.

Walking around this place makes me feel so peaceful, sometime I prefer to walk alone. Some people say, "you go there alone?" and give me those walau-this-guy-is-damn-patheatic face, and then I give him/her so-what-if-i-am-patheatic face and say "yes".


Clarke Quay even have this reverse bungee jump called "..." ok I forgot their name but trust me. It is scary. They even have this 3 big TV screen just near the jump start point to show your face sceaming like you have seen a gigantic crocoach eating ramen.


I should have take more picture during night time. But unfortunatly, I am using camera handphone. As the day getting darker, my camera getting useless.
Next I will be reviewing foods at Clarke Quay.

Bon Odori Johor Bahru 2008

Sorry for the late post. I cant find my cable for the camera! Gosh, and ended up it was deserted back in my Singapore room. =.="

Btw, 1st November 2008, just for Bon Odori (read previous post) I start my car engine at 4pm sharp, to pick up my friend Badi. What happen was, I was trapped in a jam, really unexpected traffic jam, for almost 45min. Who would expect a traffic jam at 4pm!! Nice start.

Found Badi, and we start our journey to find Bon Odori.
But wait.....
Where is Bon Odori held?!?!?!?
I remember it was somewhere near Holiday Plaza.
So I drove to Holiday plaza, and found no clue at all....
Tried to call the Hotline, but no one picking up the phone!
I guess all of them busy eating sashimi cannot hear the phone ringing.
Badi tried to call his friend, I tried to call mine.
After driving for almost 1.30 hours with an empty stomach, I feel like chocking the one who draw the map on the banner. No, I think I better burn the poster down, mix it with coke and let the fella drink it.

Ok, really almost 6pm finally found out the place. Thanks to Badi's friend, thanks to Aerin, thanks to Aerin's dad for the direction. Most important thanks to hanzo, who almost lead me to unknown place.

When we reach, I found out that the Bon Odori its just in front of BIG GIANT HYPERMARKET!!!! Thats the 3rd time I want to bang the fella with an Optimus Prime (Transformer's lorry).

First thing I reach is to survey the place

Next is to look for food foods.
But I think I went to the wrong corner, which turn out to be game corner

By the way, even if you can't catch the fish, they allow you to bring back one :) so it doesn't matter if you can't catch any.

Somehow, me and Badi walk around looking for food. My mind already blank, not holding my camera, walk for two rounds to decide which food to consume. In the end I order Yakisoba (japanese friend noodle), Japanese cold noodle and mochi.

Mochi making! So interesting, I wish I could go there and wack the mochi with them, but I was late for 3 minutes!!! ARGH, thats the forth time Im going to stuff the guy who draws the map into public toilet bowl.

Then they have their Bon Odori performance on the stage

They should get another person to do the marketing. Could do better with better map, better hotline operator, better place with better parking space.

Environment = 3.5 Star
I would say it is a not bad experience for me, some say this bon odori got "Japan feeling". I dont know, I never been to Japan before :P But I can see quite a number of Japanese people walking around with their Yukata and even some Bleach Cosplayer (Yes, I didn't take pictures of them). Somehow I get what are they trying to convey. But they could do better with the booth presentation and with more show or performance between main event.

Food = 2.5 Star
First of all, there are many stalls there. All of them are crowded and not well organized. They even have Sushi King stall and Kinsahi and some Thai restaurant booth there. What am I trying to say here is, when people go for Japanese festival, they are expecting aunthentic Japanese food. One or two stall like this its ok for us, but they should have more stuff like the mochi.

Overall = 1+3.5+2.5 divide by 3

Just before Bon Odori

First of all, let wikipedia me explain what is Bon Odori is all about.

Bon Odori (盆踊り, meaning simply Bon dance) is an event held during Obon. It is celebrated as a reminder of the gratefulness one should feel toward one's ancestors.

Then some of you will ask, "what the heck is Obon?"

Obon (お盆, Obon) or just Bon (盆, Bon) is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the departed (deceased) spirits of one's ancestors.

Ok? Somehow Bon Odori event come to Malaysia

In Malaysia, Bon Odori Festivals are also celebrated every year in Penang and at the Matsushita Corp Stadium in Shah Alam, Selangor. This celebration, which is a major attraction for the state of Selangor, is the brain child of the Japanese Expatriate & Immigrant's Society in Malaysia. In comparison to the celebrations in Japan, the festival is celebrated on a much smaller scale in Penang and Selangor, and is less associated with Buddhism and more with Japanese culture. Held mainly to expose locals to a part of Japanese culture, the festival provides the experience of a variety of Japanese food & drinks, art and dance.

Just by chance, I saw a banner outside this Japanese restaurant at Johor Bahru, saying that Bon Odori will be held on 1st Nov. I was rushing that day and did not pay attention the details on the banner. What I know was its called "Bon Odori", its on "1st Nov" !!!
I told myself, "I can search all the details on Internet"
But ALAS, I found nothing! Except the Wikipedia extract, no website, no email, no phone number, nothing, me you, i lek. Bad marketing strategy. I think, without wikipedia, I dont even know what is Bon Odori!

okok, "patience my apprantice". I think Im going to go down to Johor bahru tomorrow to get the details. Argh! If I happen to see Japanese Expatriate & Immigrant's Society president, Im going to tell him how to do proper marketing.
